Before we head off, please remember to check mta.info for service changes and status. (Let's try not to get stuck somewhere 10 miles from your house with no trains coming, that would kinda suck)
--
A bit of information before we begin -
Every cache in this series follows ONE TRAIN LINE, from the start to the end, stopping at 4-6 stops (unless the route is shorter than 5 stops). At each stop that is listed here in the description (Prospect Park, Botanical Gardens, Park Pl and Franklin Ave in this scenario), you'll need to hop off the train and make your way to the coordinates given. When you reach the coordinates, a question will be given. Around the coordinates, you should be able to find the answer.
The answers are multiple-choice. On each multiple-choice answer, there will be a number. For example -
1. ()
2. ()
3. ()
Take the number (answer choice 1, 2, or 3, based on the answer you chose) and remember it or write it down.
At the final stop, add up all the numbers. 3-5 sets of coordinates will be given. Add the numbers from each answered choice. At the bottom of this description, it'll say "If you have (), go to (coordinates), if you have (), go to (coordinates), etc". The final coordinates will lead to the cache.
Please note taking the train is not needed but is encouraged because this multicache series is about the NYC subway, and attempts to show how each train line has shaped a part of the city in its own way.

Welcome to Prospect Park Station! It’s right next to one of the biggest parks in the city! Definitely not the biggest one though! Prospect Park is home to a zoo, a carousel, a park loop for running/biking/walking, great birds and ground animals, great geocaching and much more! Unfortunately, this cache does not end up in Prospect Park. Go to these coordinates to answer the question for the Prospect Park Question: 40.660633, -73.962068

You have to go inside the station to answer this question but you don’t have to swipe your metrocard. Inside are 5 ads for Prospect Park highlights. One of the signs say on the top, The Magic is ____! What is the missing word?

Once you have your answer, jump on the S and head over to the next station, Botanical Gardens. Walk over to a park that’s closed from 1am to 6am so this cache isn’t available 24/7 and in the middle of the park, there’s a monument for Dr. Robert Erwin McNair who was an astronaut for NASA. Since he was a child, he has always wanted to be an astronaut and to see space. When he finally had the chance to go on NASA’S Spaceship Shuttle Challenger, it was about 2-3km above the ground and well, it blew up. He died in the explosion. That close to being able to see space and he died in an explosion. One of his quotes was, “Defy and simply ignore any of the inevitable obstacles that will impede your pursuit of your goal.” That means that he wanted to be astronaut and see space so much that he just ignored or pushed through obstacles that got in his way. He wants to tell you that when you have a goal, you have a goal. You will do anything you can to reach it. Go to these coordinates to answer the Botanic Gardens question: 40.670576, -73.961978

The answer is in the plaque. On one of the sides, it says, F=(something). What is the denominator? Look on all sides of the memorial. There’s a plaque on every side or almost every side.

Our next stop is Park Place. Take the S one stop. Crown Heights. Crown Heights has some of the most important history of all the neighborhoods in New York. Crown Heights used to be huge! A while back, some of it was Lenape territory. The first recorded history of a European being in Crown Heights was a guy named Giovanni De Verrazzano who sailed up to the neighborhood. Back then it was a neighborhood though. Through the 60’s and 70’s, a lot of Jewish people lived there. As we get to present day, the neighborhood got much more diverse. We will be going to an important landmark that I can’t tell you what it is or it’ll give it away. Anyways, there’s a sign at that important landmark that tells you when the place was established. Go to these coordinates to answer the Park Place question: 40.673976, -73.960285
Question Time!

When was the important landmark established? (Hint: the sign for this landmark tells you)
- 1798
- 1814
- 1874
Once you have your answer, jump back on the S and take it to our last stop, Franklin Avenue.
To find your answer, you will go to a park dedicated to Christopher Biggie Wallace. Christopher Biggie Wallace (aka, The Notorious B.I.G) was a late Brooklyn rapper who liked to express himself by rapping. He would rap about stuff that would happen in Brooklyn at his time: Drugs, guns, violence, etc. He was sadly killed in a drive by shooting at the age of 24. He lived a very short life but lived up to a very big dream. The park has 3 areas. A playground, a basketball court and a handball court. The cache will be in one of those areas. Each number is one of those. If you got all the answers right to the questions, you should end up on the right area. The hint will be very detailed as to when you get to the area, the hint will tell exactly where it is hidden and what the container is.
Please add up all your answers.
If you got the number 5 when you added them up, go to the given coordinates: 40.6816365, -73.9591482
If you got the number 6, go to the given coordinates: 40.6816754, -73.9593823
If you got the number 7 go to the given coordinates: 40.6817959, -73.9596592
Good luck everybody and happy caching! :)
