This cache is part of a series created with cycling in mind but . .
Heading downhill from St Martha's on the Downs Link is NOT easy. Although not especially steep, there are very narrow parts and at least two spots where YOU NEED TO BE READY TO DISMOUNT or risk serious injury if cycling. In one case there is a steel pipe running across the path with a 1-foot (30 cm) drop on the down side. At another place, there is a big chunk of metal protruding from the ground on the eastern side. It really juts out.
Another problem, HEADING DOWN OR UP St Martha's Hill with a bike is the number of walkers who also use the path. Negotiating passage on a busy day (good weather / weekends) is likely to be an issue. It is definitely recommended only for experienced cyclists with good mountain bikes..
All these caches can of course be found on foot though, from wherever you may begin or end your caching journey, you will probably need to return along the same route or use 2 cars, leaving your second at another point along the trail.
