A traditional cache close to the River Lyd. We stumbled across this spot while walking and geocaching in the area and liked it so much we decided to choose it for our first cache to encourage others to discover it too. There are other good caches in this area ranging from the relatively straightforward to the rather more challenging.
Please take sensible precautions with children and animals. Do not go near the water if the river is too full and fast. The cache is not within the firing range but it is not far away so please be aware of when firing is taking place.
The weather on Dartmoor can also change suddenly so come prepared with suitable clothing and walking shoes, and carry a map and compass (and know how to use them) . Do not rely solely on your GPS.
