Geocache Description:

I plan on creating a few "gadget" caches and this my first one. It is located in the front yard of a geocacher friend of mine named GonePostal.  Don't be shy about entering his yard for the cache--he'll love it. The reference to "Owl" in the title simply comes from my affinity for owls.

What is a "gadget" cache?

As I understand it, a gadget cache is a physical cache container that is usually easy to locate. However, you cannot log a "Found It" until you figure out how to open the cache to gain access to the log book. If you haven't signed the log, you haven't "found" the cache.

Gadget caches can be rather simple or it could be very complex internally. Some are stictly mechanical while others utilize a microprocessor and various sensors.

The "Owl Gadget #1" Cache, in Particular

The door to this cache is locked. All parts move freely. DO NOT try to force anything. This cache should be fairly easy to open as soon as you realize what it takes to open it.

PLEASE do not share the solution with anyone until they've given it a good effort.

For Help
I WANT you to have a good experience with my gadget caches. If you need help I'd be happy to offer as much or as little as you want. If you just don't get it, call the number on the side of the cache. That's my cell phone number. I usually answer my phone right away, unless I'm driving, in a meeting or at the theater--stuff like that.
