2. This cache has been placed for the CARW event with the intention that it not be located prior to 9:00 a.m. Saturday February 22, 2020. The caches for the CARW event are released early so that the geocaching community has an opportunity to plan their routes and strategies prior to the event start.

3. Should you hunt and find this cache before the event start, it will not count for the event, and FTF points are only valid as of 9AM February 22nd.

Important Safety Notes to Start

1. There is no need to enter any buildings on campus. That said, the Augustana Dean's office is aware of this Wherigo and is fully supportive of visitors touring around the campus.

2. While the Final is located in a nearby public park, there may be a possibility that the Final is not accessible at all times, as it is located close to a creek. During the spring runoff or after a major rainfall event, it may not be possible to get to the location of the final. At all times, it is best to search for this cache with a spotter (bonus - they can act as a lookout for muggles!). Stay safe out there, and don't take any unnecessary risks!

"Augustana Campus Wherigo Tour - CARW2020"

Augustana

This Wherigo cache has been created to give you a brief tour of the Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta. There is no need to enter any buildings on campus, and you will remain on areas that are open to the general public at all times. This Wherigo will take about 30-45 minutes to complete. Once you have answered all of the various questions, this cartridge will lead you off campus into a nearby public park, where you will be able to look for a winter-friendly geocache where you can sign the log. There is not much room in the cache for swag, and it's always a good idea to BYOP.

Total distance travelled will be just over 1km, not including the short walk back to your vehicle at Stage 1. There are a total of 12 virtual stages in this cache, plus the Final.

To PLAY this Wherigo geocache, you must download the cartridge here: visit link

To log this geocache, please sign the logbook in the cache container. Don't forget to log the Wherigo on the Wherigo.com site. To do that you will need the unlock code that you get on completion of the Wherigo. If the full code does not work for you when you try to log, try using only the first 15 characters of the unlock code. Seems there can be a problem with the full unlock code sometimes.
