Geocache Description:

The cartridge for this Wherigo is located here.

I have been lately realizing that many more murals having been popping up in the back alleys of Kamloops since I created the first Wherigo tour of them around five years ago. I eventually came to the conclusion that it was about time to create another tour. This is the result of that conclusion!

Before going for this one, always double-check that you have the latest version of this cartridge downloaded. Otherwise you could very well be unsuccessful due to edits that will have been made to it.

Current Cartridge Version: 1.1. Updated December 25, 2019.

A short 45-60 minute tour of the new full scale murals in downtown Kamloops. Take the tour for an art gallery experience unlike any you have had before, unless you already did the previous tour (GC5N4AW). If that is the case you will know what to expect! I measured the route and the total tour length is 2000m on the nose so it should be a fairly quick one.

This open-air art form showcases all genres of art and highlights the city’s artistic spectrum of talent. It really is quite amazing and something for Kamloopsians to be proud of!

How to play:

  1. Download the Wherigo cartridge from: HERE.
  2. Park near the posted coordinates.
  3. Turn on your Wherigo enabled device and open the cartridge.

Follow the steps described in the cartridge and sign the logbook at the end of the tour. You will walk to several public murals in a specific order. Feel free to take your time at each location and enjoy them. You can stop the cartridge and come back at anytime, without having to begin again. Just make sure you save your game.

You will need the cartridge (available here) as well as a player. A good player for Android devices is WhereYouGo. I have heard that the app WherePiGo works for Apple phones.

Don't forget to bring your GPS to punch in the coordinates for the final.

Make sure to cross at stop lights, stay away from train tracks and stay safe.

As always, photos always appreciated!
