L’ampliamento della ciclovia della Valle Brembana permette di partire da Bergamo e giungere sino a Piazza Brembana.
L'opera è possibile attraverso il recupero di gran parte dell'ex sedime ferroviario che collegava dal 1906 al 1966 collegava l'Alta Valle con il centro città. Sul percorso infatti i ponti, le gallerie le opere ingegneristiche varie erano di uso esclusivo alla rete ferroviaria. A binario unico, con scartamento ordinario, elettrificata, ha garantito per 60 anni il trasporto di merci e persone.
Tra le opere che si possono ammirare ci sono le Vecchie stazioni.
Edifici in stile Liberty furono progettati dall'architetto Romolo Squadrelli, lo stesso architetto al quale era stata affidata la progettazione dello splendido Hotel di San Pellegrino Terme.
In questo punto possiamo ammirarne una delle tante: quella di Sedrina.
In questo tratto del percorso c’è una seconda discesa per chi arriva da Bergamo, e una salitella per chi arriva da Zogno. Il tratto ha una larghezza ridotta. Attenzione ai ciclisti che sfrecciano alla grande.
Posso pensare che in questa piccola stazione, il nostro Felice Gimondi, nato e vissuto a Sedrina, e alla quale la pista Ciclabile è stata dedicata, possa aver aspettato il passaggio del treno?
La Cache: questo tratto di pista è stato recentemente inaugurato e da subito è stato affollato di persone, a piedi, in bicicletta, con passeggini, con skateboard. La difficoltà è data solo per la presenza di numerosi BABBANI. Agite con circospezione.

The extention of the Brembana Valley Cycle Route allows you to start from Bergamo and reach Piazza Brembana.
The work done has seen the recovery of a large part of the former railway grounds that from 1906 to 1966 connected the Upper Valley with the city center.
