Number 1398 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.
The letterbox in Victorian and was made by Eagle Foundry of Birmingham. It is the second standardised wall box to be produced. The telephone kiosk is now used for the village defibrillator and was resited here by the village when they purchased it from BT. The original location of the kiosk was on Bassingham Road.
