Geocache Description:

Please note this geocache can only be found during daylight hours. Also, the final will require a bit of traveling, hence the terrain rating. Congratulations to Dover Spike on FTF!

The downtown center of New Castle is historically referred to as the "Diamond" and is currently named Kennedy Square. In 1898, the Statue of the Lone Union Soldier was dedicated. This granite and marble monument actually refers to "The War of the Rebellion". On all four sides are listed the names of New Castle residents who died in the Civil War..all 435 of them! There are three nearby plaques and even a Civil War era canon. You will use these four items to decipher the final location of this geocache. There is ample parking located nearby, some paid, some free if you know where to look.

A= Find the Spanish War Veterans plaque. Find the Auxiliary Number and add 6.
