In 1916 there was a total of 65 stations on the W&OD railroad, to include those at the beginning (Georgetown) and the end of the line (Bluemont). Norman's Station, obviously tiny, was located at the point where the tracks and Smith Switch Road intersect. The picture of it was taken in the 1920s.
This is the 2nd of two geocaches along Smith Switch Road. This may be a quick and easy find. But, it may be harder for those new to geocaching. Be careful handling the geocache. The Park Manager, W&OD Railroad Regional Park, approved the placement of this geocache in November 2019. The current park manager has approved it to remain in place. Use the Gravel trail to search for the geocache.
