Geocache Description:

***CACHE IS NOT AT POSTED COORDINATES***

The Tennessee Volunteers football program represents the University of Tennessee.

The Vols have played football for 121 seasons, starting in 1891; their combined record of 833–383–53 ranks them twelfth on the list of all-time win-loss percentage records .677 and ninth on by-victories list for college football programs as well as second on the all-time win/loss list of SEC programs 390–253–33 .601. Their all-time ranking in bowl appearances is third (52) and sixth in all-time bowl victories (28), most notably four Sugar Bowls, three Cotton Bowls, an Orange Bowl, and a Fiesta Bowl. They have won 16 conference championships and six national titles in their history and their last national championship was in the 1998 college football season.  They enjoy a winning record against every SEC opponent except the two teams from Alabama and Florida.

The Vols play at Neyland Stadium, where Tennessee has an all-time winning record of 464 games, the highest home-field total in college football history for any school in the nation at its current home venue. Additionally, its 102,455 seat capacity makes Neyland the nation's fifth largest stadium.[1]

Some of the traditions at Tennessee are the Vol Walk before the game, running through the T coming on the field, the Rocky Top fight song, and Smokey the blue tick coonhound on the sideline.  There is no better place to watch a football game than in the sea of orange in Knoxville, Tennessee along the Tennessee river.

Play is really simple, we have compiled our list of the greatest ever at UT.  It’s a subjective list, as all lists are, and is probably heavily leaning towards modern day players since that’s what we grew up with.  All but number 1 is in random order, number 1 is by far the best to ever put on the cleats, quite possibly at any college town.  Just put the name of the player’s number into certitude and it will give you coordinates.  It’s best to do the caches in numerical order.  There is road construction along the way, at time of placement we moved everything ahead of the construction.  At time of publishing they had moved some of the construction back some so there are a couple that may not be as easy as normal for a few weeks.  Most are regular hides, a couple aren’t and will be reflected in the terrain rating.  Cut and paste logs are welcome, and if worthy of a favorite point please leave it on the bonus.  The first few are a little tight on a seldom used road but the rest will have plenty of shoulder to work with so please pull off for safety.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
