Η παραλία Karidi είναι ένα από τα ομορφότερα τμήματα της παραλίας στη Χαλκιδική και βρίσκεται σε άμεση γειτνίαση με τη γαλάζια λιμνοθάλασσα στα βορειοανατολικά της Σιθωνία. Εδώ μπορείτε να ανακαλύψετε μια εξαιρετική και έντονη γεωλογική διάβρωση.
Der Karidi-Beach ist einer der schönsten Strandabschnitte der Chalkidiki und befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe der Blauen Lagune im Nordosten der Sithonia. Hier kann man eine außergewöhnliche und ausgeprägte Verwitterungsart entdecken.
The Karidi Beach is one of the most beautiful beach sections of Chalkidiki and is located in the immediate vicinity of the Blue Lagoon in the northeast of Sithonia. Here you can discover an extraordinary and pronounced Weathering.
Το tafoni βρίσκεται σε διάφορους τύπους βράχων σε όλο τον κόσμο – κυρίως ψαμμίτης, γκρίζος, γρανίτης, γραμιδίτης και Gneiss, αλλά και ασβεστόλιθος, λάβα και σε διάφορα κλίματα, αλλά κυρίως κοντά στα παράκτια κλίματα. Στην Ευρώπη, ο tafoni βρίσκεται κυρίως στη Μεσόγειο. Η λειτουργία των Ταφονίων είναι συνήθως σφαιρικές ή ελλειπτικές, παρόμοιες με τις κυψελικές καιρικές συνθήκες. Οι Ταφόνι είναι ένας από τους γεωμορφολογικούς νάνους στο νανορελιεφ. Η ακριβής μέθοδος σχηματισμού του σχετίζεται με τις διαφορές της ύγρανσης στο βράχο: τα στραγγισμάτων στον βράχο εξατμίζεται και απελευθερώνει το φορτίο της λύσης του στην επιφάνεια. Σταδιακά η πέτρα αποσυντίθεται από το εσωτερικό και τις μικρές στρογγυλεμένες κοιλότητες μορφή. Οι μηχανισμοί διάβρωσης του αλατιού μπορούν επίσης να συμβάλουν στη διαμόρφωση του tafoni.
Tafoni gibt es weltweit an verschiedenen Gesteinsarten – vor allem Sandstein, Grauwacke, Granit, Granodiorit und Gneis, aber auch Kalkstein, Lava sowie in verschiedenen Klimaten, jedoch überwiegend in Küstennähe der gemäßigten Klimate. In Europa sind Tafoni vor allem im Mittelmeerraum zu finden. Die Aushöhlungen der Tafoni sind meist kugel- oder ellipsenförmig, ähnlich der Alveolarverwitterung. Die Tafoni gehören zu den geomorphologischen Zwergformen im Nanorelief. Ihre genaue Entstehungsweise steht im Zusammenhang mit Befeuchtungsunterschieden im Gestein: Sickerwasser im Gestein verdunstet und setzt seine Lösungsfracht an der Oberfläche ab; nach und nach zersetzt sich der Stein von innen und es bilden sich die kleinen rundlichen Hohlräume. Mechanismen der Salzverwitterung können ebenfalls zur Tafoni-Entstehung beitragen.
Tafoni is found worldwide in various types of rock - especially sandstone, greywacke, granite, granodiorite and gneiss, but also limestone, lava and in various climates, but mostly near the coast of the temperate climates. In Europe, Tafoni are found mainly in the Mediterranean. The cavities of Tafoni are usually spherical or elliptical, similar to the Alveolar weathering. The Tafoni are among the geomorphological dwarf forms in the nano relief. Their exact mode of origin is related to humidification differences in the rock: Leachate in the rock evaporates and releases its solution load on the surface; Gradually, the stone decomposes from the inside and it form the small round cavities. Salt weathering mechanisms can also contribute to the formation of Tafoni.
Από την άλλη πλευρά, θεωρείται ότι το tafoni είναι φυσικές μορφές διάβρωσης που αποδίδονται στην διάβρωση των αλάτων, αλλά ο σχηματισμός των οποίων οφείλεται στη λιθολογία, την Τοπογραφική τοποθεσία, την έκθεση, το κλίμα και, πάνω απ ' όλα, την επιλογή προσφοράς εξαρτάται από τα άλατα. Αυτά προκαλούνται από πυρηνικές καιρικές συνθήκες από το εσωτερικό έξω, όπου το ντοσιέ που κυκλοφόρησε χημικά (FE-, εκατ-οξείδια) ξεπλένεται από το νερό ή ανατινάζεται από τον άνεμο και έτσι σχηματίζονται κοιλότητες. Τα tafoni είναι συνήθως ανοικτά σε μια πλευρά σφαιρικές σε σχήμα νεφρού κοιλότητες από λίγα εκατοστά σε αρκετά μέτρα σε κυρίως πετρώματα χονδροειδή, τα οποία θυμίζουν εξ αποστάσεως κηρήθρες.
Demgegenüber steht die Auffassung, dass Tafoni ohne Einschränkung der Salzverwitterung zuzuschreibende physikalische Verwitterungsformen sind, deren Entstehung jedoch von der Lithologie, topographischen Lage, Exposition, des Klimas und vor allem von der Zufuhrmöglichkeit von Salzen abhängig ist. Diese entstehen durch Kernverwitterungen von innen nach außen, wobei das chemisch herausgelöste Bindemittel (Fe-, Mn-Oxide) durch Wasser fortgespült oder durch Wind herausgeblasen wird und dadurch Hohlräume gebildet werden. Tafoni sind gewöhnlich nach einer Seite offene kugel- bis nierenförmige Hohlräume von wenigen Zentimeter bis zu mehreren Metern in meist grobkörnigen Gesteinen, welche entfernt an Bienenwaben erinnern.
On the other hand, it is considered that Tafoni are attributable to physical weathering without attribution to salt weathering, but their formation depends on lithology, topographical location, exposure, climatic conditions and above all on the ability to supply salts. These are formed by core weathering from the inside to the outside, wherein the chemically dissolved binder (Fe, Mn oxides) is washed away by water or blown out by wind and thereby cavities are formed. Tafoni are usually on one side open spherical to kidney-shaped cavities of a few inches to several meters in mostly coarse-grained rocks, which remotely remind of honeycombs.

1. Schau dich großzügig um… An und um den Listingkoordinaten solltest du o.b. Tafone entdecken. Wie schätzt du deren Größe ein?
2. Was denkst du, warum man gerade hier diese Verwitterung so ausgeprägt vorfindet?
3. Beschreibe kurz die Beschaffenheit, der in dem Gestein vorhandenen Tafoni!
4.Füge deinem Log ein Foto von Euch oder/und Eurem GPS an den angegebenen Koordinaten hinzu!
HINWEIS: Fotos sind mit der Änderung der Earthcache-Guidelines vom 10.06.2019 nicht mehr zwingend optional, sie dürfen eine Logbedingung sein! Daher werden alle Logs ohne Foto in Zukunft gelöscht.
Falls die Antworten nicht stimmen, setze ich mich mit Euch in Verbindung.
