Cache & dash on a 'Quiet Lane'.
Please drive with consideration for residents and other users of the lane.
Country Lanes are an integral part of our rural environment but the volume and speed of traffic, and the presence of heavy lorries, can make them uninviting and intimidating. CPRE (Campaign to Protect Rural England) established the principle of Quiet Lanes, which are a positive way of providing a chance for people to walk, run, cycle and horse ride in a safer environment whilst protecting the character and tranquillity of country lanes. Start & end of the Quiet Lane is marked with a short wooden fence on the grass verge and has a National Quiet Lanes sign bearing the Countryside Agency logo.
