The Arrowverse is a shared fictional multiverse that is centred on various TV series and based on characters which originally appeared in publications by DC Comics. The shared universe was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast and characters that span across five live-action TV series. Presently the Arrowverse includes ‘Green Arrow’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Legends of Tomorrow’, ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Batwoman’. 

Crime-scene investigator Barry Allen awakens from a nine-month coma after being struck by strange lightening caused by the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator explosion and finds himself with superhuman speed. Barry soon discovers he is not the only ‘meta-human’ affected by the explosion, and not all of them are using their new powers for good. He vows to use his new powers to protect Central City by becoming masked superhero The Flash.
