I've been thinking of placing a cache in these woods for years, and I finally made the trek out here. Today I placed a few, and with a walk of fewer than 2 miles, you can grab them all. The main trails head out to Dead Pond with a lovely view. This one is on the way. The trail is hilly, rocky, and wet in places along the way, but overall is quite enjoyable.
Looks like a great spot for snowshoeing as well.
This cache is not far from an intersection of the red and blue trails. It's a short bushwhack from either one, so no worries if you can't decide.
Though I saw no hunters out here today, it is allowed here. Be aware of your surroundings and wear orange! ;)
