How many reindeer are there? It seems more keep popping up. I just found out about that Rudolph had a cousin?

Here is some history. 

It seems the first mention of a Reindeer was in a 1821 poem, “ Old Santeclaus with much delite”. This Reindeer didn’t have a name.

Then the most well known mention of 8 Reindeer are from a poem made two years later called, “A visit from St. Nicholas” , better known as “‘Twas the Night before Christmas”. We all know these by heart. With a couple slight spelling variations.

Christmas getting more commercialized, when in 1939, Montgomery Ward help create Rudolph. .

In 1995 we hear about Rudolph’s cousin.

Then in 1999 we find about another Reindeer. Who is this Other Reindeer? Listen closely to the song Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer song. You can hear it mentioned. That’s all you need to solve this puzzle.
