Geocache Description:

I’m sure you’ve all heard of Baron Manfred von Richthofen. No? Ok, how about the Red Baron? Yeah, that’s right, everybody knows who the Red Baron was, he was Snoopy’s arch nemesis, right? Well, actually, long before everybody’s favorite doghouse-flying beagle set his sights on the famous red Fokker, the real Red Baron owned the skies over Germany and France between 1915 and his death in 1918 with claims of 80 aerial opponents shot down.

But we’re not talking about Baron Manfred von Richthofen, The Red Baron, we’re here to learn about his rural kin, the Baronet Beauregard von Nattyoften, the Redneck Baronet.

The Redneck Baronet was a bit jealous of his sophisticated cousin, Baron von Richthofen. In fact, he flat refuses to attend any more family reunions because he’s tired of playing second fiddle to the Red Baron so he came up with a plan. Baronet von Nattyoften heard that there was a shop in Rome, Ga. Where a motley crew of land pirates builds go fast goodies and decided he could get his airplane the performance upgrades he needs in order for him to be able to compete with the memory of his famous cousin. You can find his airplane at the listed coordinates and if you’re sly enough you might even be able to sign his flight log and slip away before he makes a strafing run on you! As a bonus, if your timing is right you just might get to meet some of the “Pirate Crew” who run the shop and see some of their fire-breathing speedsters.

This cache is on private property but the owner and local residents are aware of the hide and have given permission, please don’t explore the surrounding area if no one is present. Nothing needs to be moved or disassembled in order to find the cache but you might have better luck with the find if you fly by the seat of your pants.

The cache contains a few small trade goods and we will contact the first Cacher to sign the log for a custom FTF gift.

F.T.F. Congrats to Gang Geezer! I'll have to decide how to handle the FTF gift since it was intended for a single cacher, not a team
