Be Careful retrieving the cache as muggles are everywhere.
The cache contains a logbook and pencil only.
Harrington Lane is one of those little lanes in Hobart that not too many people use.
It starts and ends on the eastern side of Harrington Street near the end of Goulburn Street.
The southern end is about 30 meters north of Liverpool Street, with the northern end about 50 meters south of Bathurst Street.
There is a small lane that joins it with Watchorn Street.
Most of the area around Harrington Lane and Watchorn Street is now used as car parking.
The buildings on northern end of Harrington Lane have some interesting murals on there walls, part of the Urban Art Walls project, sponsored by the City Council
In 2018 the front door of a nightclub at the southern end of the lane was shot at by a man using SKS semi-automatic rifle, approximately 20 shots were fired, the holes through the steel door can still be seen.
I have found a very old map produced by one of Tasmania's earlist surveyors, James Sprent, in 1841.
On this map Harrington Lane is drawn but not named.
