Cedar swamps pretty much covered the lowlands along the Speed River. In historical Guelph the wealthy built their homes on the surrounding hills and high ground while the poorer settlers had to clear the swamps to build their hovels. Take a look around and imagine how much work that would be more than 150 years ago.
You will need to make a short foray into the moors to find this one. Make sure your footwear is up to the task.
