Geocache Description:

Situated above Cathedral Canyon in the Santa Rosa Mountains (elevation 1380').

An obvious local landmark on Cathedral Canyon Trail with views of Cathedral City and Bradley Peak.

I passed by here on a birthday morning hike to Magnesia Spring Canyon.  The surrounding mountains were beautiful and freshly snow-covered after the first winter storm.

Cathedral Canyon Trail is an unmarked use path that runs from Cathedral City to Desert Riders Oasis. Start at Foothill Road or make it a loop from the Dunn Road trailhead. You can also set up a car shuttle to connect with the Art Smith Trail.

Note that the lower portion of Cathedral Canyon Trail has loose rock, sharp switchbacks and steep cliff hangers all the way down.  Seems much better suited to hiking than biking.

Cache is a tin, just off the main path. Bring a pen.
