Cle Elum is small community that is well positioned on a key transportation route linking the east to the west sides of Washington State via Snoqualmie Pass. It's early pioneer history is rooted in mining, timber, and agriculture.
Cle Elum's modern economy has refocused to serve as both a recreation way stop and destination. Its scenic surroundings and close proximity to Seattle draw many visitors year round to explore and enjoy the mountains, rivers and lakes, resorts, history, and other delights of the area (including geocaching.)
The townsfolk are so pleased to see you that they put out 2 Welcome signs. The hide is only a few feet from the pedestrian sidewalk. There is no parking right at ground zero, so use the parking coordinates. It is just a short stroll from a side street to find this cache.
