This is the first cache in a kayaking/boating power trail that will consist of at least 100 caches, along the Georges River and its tributaries from Glenfield to Voyager Point. All the caches will be suspended from trees etc, and will be accessible from a boat or kayak. Almost all of the containers will be medium sized bison tubes wrapped in camo tape. The lids will not be camoed, so will be easier to see.
The upper region of the river upstream from Liverpool Weir can be covered in floating weeds at times, so the best vessel will be a kayak along there. Try not to spread any weeds if you can avoid it.
Almost all the caches are accessible without getting out of your boat/canoe/kayak. Take note of the tides from #27 and beyond as I used the tides to assist me when setting the series. It might be hard to reach some of the caches at low tide from your vessel. Above the weir at Liverpool there is no tide, take extreme care if the river is in any type of strong flow from heavy rain.
When I placed these caches in December 2019 the river hadn't flooded for many years, in the next three years it flooded many times and destroyed lots of the caches, it has been a never ending job to replace them, including being helped by many searchers.
