This is one of 12 caches placed for CAM 2020. You are required to find the nine physical caches and have your choice for number 10. It will be between 2 virtuals and a wherigo.
If you find all twelve, you will receive a special icon to download and put on your geocaching profile. Each location was picked specifically to give cachers a taste of the state and show you its beauty. By combining all of the caches, you'll be able to see why Maryland is truly "America in Miniature". CAM 2020 - Kindness Demonstration Trail
The Kindness Demonstration Area features a 1.25-mile hiking trail through 387 acres of forestland with signs explaining forest management and wildlife improvement practices. See the forest through the trees and better understand how foresters manage our precious forest resources. Come out and enjoy a self-guided hike through the Kindness Demonstration Area.
Often referred to as the "birthplace of forestry and conservation in Maryland," this area is part of the Garrett brothers' original 2,000-acre land donation which started Maryland Forestry and Public Lands System.
For the cache, follow the stone road from gate to trailhead. Then follow the grass logging road toward the cache. A bike would make this cache easier and quicker. The cache is on the south edge of a woodpile at ground level, less than 10 yards off of trail. You may only seek this cache from dawn til dusk.
