2019 has been a great geocaching year!
1) Started 2019 with a Polar Bear Swim in the Fraser River, at the annual geocaching event hosted by grafinator. A nice refreshing plunge on the snow and ice covered banks of the Fraser River (come and join him again on January 1st, 2020 - GC8EVTY)
2) I found 2092 caches so far this year (most of those with a group of geocaching friends).
3) Completed the cache carnival souvenir
4) Was awarded a Virtual 2.0 cache which has since been published “International Friendship Garden & Golden Tree”
5) Completed the “Mystery at the Museum Event”
6) Won a “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — Mikey” TB that is now travelling the world.
7) “Streaked” for a whole week in August finding a cache every day for 7 days in a row.
8) Sadly my Monthly FTF find streak came to an end in November at a final count of exactly 60 months / 5 years - bit sad but also quite relieved to have this come to an end.
Come to the local Tim Hortons and share your geocaches successes for 2019.
ThunderClan! and will be hosting a short meet & greet style event to ring out 2019. There will be some Tim bits & coffee or hot chocolate to enjoy. Come and join us. Also earn a “Goodbye 2019” geocaching souvenir for attending.
Hope to see you there!
