Geocache Description:

This multi cache will take you to the location of Neil Armstrong's first flight in Warren, OH.

Here at the site of the former "Warren Airways", six year old Neil Armstrong took his first flight which sparked his love of aviation.

This site is now home to the lunar module memorial. In the informational brochures available here, it is noted that this is the most "accurate replica" in the world.

Here at the site, there is also a historical marker and informational board placed in memory of Warren native and fellow NASA astronaut Ronald Parise. Dr. Parise was a graduate of nearby Warren Western Reserve High school where my mother also attended. At a young age I had an opportunity to meet the Parise family and was given an autographed astronaut headshot which I thought was the coolest thing ever. I still have it to this day in case you were curious. :)
