This area in west Cobb County is home to two high school football 2019 state champions. Harrison High School won the 6A championship beating Allatoona High School (which is also in west Cobb County) and Marietta High School won the 7A championship beating a highly nationally ranked team, Lowndes High School from Valdosta. These schools have won state championships in other sports, but this was the first time Harrison had won a football state championship and Marietta had only won one time before in 1967. West Cobb is becoming a strong football powerhouse, not only with these two schools but with others like Allatoona who won the 5A state championship in 2015. FOR EXTRA CREDIT, INCLUDE YOUR FAVORITE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM WHEN YOU SIGN THE LOG.
This letterbox geocache is to honor these athletes who have proudly represented our area. Inside the ammo can you will find a football stamp and pad, and two pictures of the two schools' mascots with a travel bug code that you can discover. Please be sure to discover the Harrison Hoya and the Marietta Blue Devil.
The stamp and ink pad are not trade items, they are the components for a letterboxing. Please do not take them.
Also inside will be some other travel bugs for you to retrieve or discover. If you take one, PLEASE be sure to log it and place it in another cache soon. ALSO, FOR THE FTF finder, I have an unactivated FTF Signal the Frog geocoin for you to take.
