Desert Trails RV Park was my winter home for about 7 years. I really enjoyed Sunspider's nice series of caches out here in the trail network, and decided to give a little back to the area geocaching community in this first of several caches I placed out here. It will be a moderately long but easy, flat hike on well marked and well maintained trails from the school parking lot and trail head coordinate, but if you like fairly flat desert mountain biking, bring your bike and pedal out. If you are staying in Desert Trails or the adjacent Diamond J RV park, it is a much shorter walk on the trails out of those parks. DO NOT ATTEMPT THE CACHE THROUGH THESE PARKS IF YOU ARE NOT A GUEST, AS THAT WOULD BE TRESSPASSING!
Not sure how well this small plastic container will endure the summer heat, but should be good for at least a year if I need to replace it. The hide itself is fairly easy, just keep out for those RV'ers walking and biking the nearby trail. It should go without saying out here but...watch out for thorns and snakes- look before you reach.
