As it approaches the river the greenway becomes quite discontinuous. Though it's still possible to walk and cycle along the length of the greenway, frequent diversions are needed to find crossings of the roadways cutting across the greenways. Perhaps at some point these issues with connectivity will be addressed. Until then, pedestrian and bike flows are relatively low. Despite the concrete-jungle like appearance and feel of this area, with ramps leading up to the elevated Donghaochong expressway above and to the Jiangwan Bridge to the south, at least one tree and some other greenery maintains a foothold.
