Instagram Pier is technically a large unfenced cargo platform in the middle of the sea. It features a panoramic view of the harbour, with industrial props like caution barriers, containers and cargo pellets. People come to shoot sunsets, "mirror of the sky", industrial-style silly poses, and even wedding / graduation photos. Many of which garnered likes on Instagram, making it a popular Instagram spot so famous that it even got featured on National Geographic. Besides photography, you will also find people fishing, exercising, walking their pets or just relaxing here.
In view of increasing traffic, a promenade was renovated next to the pier. The promenade is divided into four zones, with playgrounds, grass fields, and an equally fantastic view of the harbour. There is even a coffee shop at the entrance for you to grab a drink. The promenade is linked to the rest of the Central and Western harbourfront, so you can technically walk/jog all the way to Wanchai.
Feel free to share any photos taken and see if they can garner likes from fellow geocachers :)

Update June 2021:
Instagram Pier (officially the Western District Public Cargo Working Area) is unfortunately now closed to public and can no longer be accessed. On the other hand, the promenade is a public area accessible 24/7. The cache is located in the promenade area, NOT in the cargo area.
* Please replace with care so that cache does not drop easily.
* Please use some stealth as there will be muggles approaching you from both sides. Beware of security guard who may come out from your left. Thanks!
