Hip to be Square was a mega hit for Huey Lewis and the News, though the number "only" reached third place on Billboard's hit list. The album the song was taken from was called Fore! A very fitting name for their fourth release. Stuck with You, Jacob's Ladder and Hip to be Square were the three biggest hits of the album, and the first two hit the top of the charts. A total of six singles were released in all from Fore! Five of them reached the top-10 on the Billboards Hot 100.
