This northern section of the greenway, implemented a few years after the southern part opened in 2010, is proving to be popular, especially on weekends, with large numbers of visitors to Luhu Lake. Despite some conflicts with often high-speed car traffic using Luhu Lake as a rat-run connection to Guangyuan Lu in the north (which could be solved through the implementation of traffic calming measures), Luhu Lake has enduring appeal and the connection to this area is an excellent way to start the greenway. The high greenway visitor volume to the lake has filtered down along the greenway in this part of Lujing Lu.
