ENG: Welcome to the South is a 2010 film directed by Luca Miniero, a remake of the French film of 2008 Down by the North by Dany Boon. The Italian version, especially with regard to the first part of the film, was made with the shot-for-shot technique largely retracing the plot and dialogues of the French original; in the second part, instead, many situations have been added, modified or changed to make them more adherent to Italian stereotypes. Pictures for the film were taken, among others, in the historical part of the city of Castellabate.
The action of the film revolves around the head of the post office, whose building was located at Piazza 10 Ottobre 1123. Here we can see the building of the real post office

ITA: Benvenuti al Sud è un film del 2010 diretto da Luca Miniero, remake del film francese del 2008 Giù al Nord di Dany Boon. La versione italiana, specialmente per quanto riguarda la prima parte del film, è stata realizzata con la tecnica shot-for-shot ripercorrendo in larga parte la trama e i dialoghi dell'originale francese; nella seconda parte, invece, molte situazioni sono state aggiunte, modificate o cambiate per renderle più aderenti agli stereotipi italiani. Le foto del film sono state scattate, tra l'altro, nella parte storica di Castellabate.
