Geocache Description:

This is my decennial birthday hide and was fifty years in the making!  I hid my first Forty Years (GC221MV) exactly 10 years ago today, also on my 40th birthday.  Now I have placed this one on my 50th birthday!

This is a very cool location that others have already found for my old puzzle cache that sadly had to be archived, Road Work...ironically because of actual road work.  But now my spot is free again!  In honor of my birthday, I am not making this one an impossible puzzle, but rather just giving you the location since I think it is super-cool!

It is near an 1800's railroad stone box culvert, which is right next to a brand new culvert that was built just a few years ago.  Luckily for us, they retained this historic culvert!  For some cool information about these types of historic culverts, see the Cultural Resources page on the nh.gov website.  And for a great historical registry (of which this one doesn't seem to be a part of), Stone Highway Culverts in New Hampshire, 1750-1930.  There's also a "Stone Culvert Location Form" you can download, fill out, and send in if you were so inclined.

As for the cache itself, you shouldn't have to get your feet wet, unless there are torrential rains, and it may not be winter friendly with snow over, say, 12 inches.  The cache itself is well-protected but easily findable (see hint).  It is not directly under the bridge, but I do highly recommend checking out the culvert while you are right near it!  I will post more information about this area as I receive it, so if anyone has any historical details, please let me know!

Note that there may be poison ivy near here, and there could be some brambles and nasty, invasive vines, depending on how you traverse down to it.  So the best, most-accessible times to get this one are in the fall, winter, and spring, though it should be available year-round (again depending on rain or snowfall). And of course, always check yourself for ticks...and muggles!

Please replace as you found it so everyone can enjoy!

FTF gets a cool Japanese pin for their backpack. :-)

Congrats to Big Read for FTF!
