Please read this information before you start, you will thank me for it later.
This is the beginning of a 6 circular mile adventure which starts here, takes you to Briercliffe recreation ground, then to Lee Green Reservoir, across a tributary of the river Brun and back via a green lane from Burnley to Briercliffe.
If you are doing this at any other time than after two month drought or after a -5 degree frost you will find several sections are VERY MUDDY, hence the name of the walk.
There are a few significant climbs and descents on this walk, I would estimate about 1000 feet of climbing.
Small sections of this route can by cycled but from #2 to #15 is only accessible on foot.
Bring a 1L bottle with you for #5. you won't need anything in it and don't complain it leaks, the cache name tells you that.
There is no parking close to #9 it's a private drive, with permitted footpath only.
If you wish to get them all look at #10 before you set off and ask for a hint (after ftf) if you don't know how to get started.
You may need to ford a river between #12 and #13 and though there might be a way to avoid it if you keep right off the path.
There is a tree climb hence the high T rating for one cache.
None of the caches are hidden in walls so don't remove any stones from them.
All the caches have different TD ratings so I hope that might attract some TD hunters
Finally have a great time, I read every log ( unless you are a B-O F who is a copy and paste warrior) and enjoy the stories you tell.
If you intend to tell a story of the walk, please do that on #19.
I hope you enjoy the walk.
