Geocache Description:

My how this place has changed.  Umpires are nowhere to be found.   Referees are now in charge and roaming the pitch.  The what?  Yes the pitch.  That is what the field is called now. A pitch around here used to be what the pitcher did to start the action.  Where there used to be a diamond there is now a penalty area.  No infielders or outfielders around either.  But there are midfielders.

A strike used to be what the pitcher tried to throw to a batter who in turn was trying to score a run.  Now there are strikers running around trying to score a goal.  Once it was a good and necessary thing to use your hands to grab and throw the ball.  Now unless you are a goalkeeper you are not allowed to use your hands. Using your head is fine unlike before when it hurt to use your head.  Before, kicking the ball would probably get you charged with an error.  Now kicking the ball is the essence of what goes on here.

So which begs the question. . . What's this thing for anyway?  No longer needed for what goes on here you say?  True enough.  But that does not mean it is not still useful.  Now inspired by the recent Fair For Sure caches this thing is now a neat place for a geocache. Come on and find it.

In season the nearby Otter Creek Water Park will be a source of many muggles.  Though most of them will be otherwise occupied.  Dog walkers abound at times too.   Depending on how you get to ground zero there is a short though fairly steep slope to traverse.   Hence the terrain rating of two. It is not necessary or even advised to enter the field (ahh. . . pitch) to access the cache.  Stay on the outside of the fence.   Please replace just as you found it.  Hidden but accessible so that a muggle won't spot it.
