Geocache Description:

Pass the Dutchy on the Left Hand Side

If I had lived closer to the majestic Dutch Garden, I’m sure that my delinquent friends and I would have spent time here. We would have listened to music (on a boom box), drank beer (until the cops came) and done other things here.

Built in 1934, the Dutch Garden was designed and supervised by landscape architect Mary Mowbray-Clarke, who at the time, resided on South Mountain Road in New City.

I hope you enjoy this park as much as I do. Take some time to explore the Teahouse which displays some very unique designs in certain bricks. Eleanor Roosevelt stopped here to dedicate the park. Burl Ives performed here.

Today, I visit the park all the time as my office overlooks it. Who knows? I may see you as you look for the geocache.

This geocache has been issued Rockland County Geocaching Permit #050.
