The Ventura Harbor Wetlands Ecological Reserve, open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., is a favorite area for local bird watchers offering up-close views of multiple species of birds in a scenic setting with flat, well-defined trails. The VHWER series could give it equal standing for geocachers as it offers all that plus a chance to get five different types of geocaching icons in a half-mile counter-clockwise loop. With three nearby Earthcaches, a six-icon day is well within reach.
This is a short and simple whereigo. It will activate as you approach an art piece in the VHWER. The physical container is a short walk away.
You can use either a cell phone or a few models of Garmin GPS units. Download the cartridge here. Cell phone users should download the "Pocket PC Device" cartridge.
You will need a cable to connect to your Garmin Oregon or Colorado. Copy the downloaded file to the Wherigo directory. If your GPS does not have a Wherigo directory, it cannot run Wherigo cartridges.
You must answer these eight multiple-choice questions correctly to get the coordinates to the physical container. All of the questions are related to the art piece. If you miss a question, you will need to go to the previous question and answer it again.
