This is Geocachers of Long Island’s highly anticipated January Get-Together! Why is it highly anticipated? Well, not only will Bigedyben be doing his whistling bellybutton trick, but the winners of GoLI's GeoBowling will be announced and prizes will be distributed (assuming they come in on time)!
And there's even more! In addition to experiencing a great community of geofriends talkin' cache talk, GoLI has reserved some lanes as part of a package that includes two hours of bowling (starting at 5 PM), shoes and food (drinks costs extra) for $30 per person. Of course, every geocacher is welcome to attend and no purchase (or bowling) is necessary. BUT IF YOU'D LIKE TO BOWL AS PART OF THE $30 PACKAGE, PLEASE LET US KNOW BECAUSE WE NEED TO GIVE A HEAD COUNT. You're also welcome to pay for food on your own and not as part of the GoLI package, although we ask that if you are going to bowl, that you pay for the package so we can meet our committed attendee minimum.
So come on down and meet some old geofriends, make new ones and talk geocaching. The GoLI monthly get-togethers are a great chance to share your thoughts about what could make geocaching on Long Island even better. GoLI is an organization created by and for Long Island geocachers and your involvement is essential to help shape the future of Long Island geocaching and GoLI!
EVENT DETAILS: 5 PM to 7 PM on Saturday, January 18th at Commack Bowlero (2183 Jericho Tpke, Commack, NY 11725).
