Geocache Description:


I live about a mile or so from here and make my morning power walks along this beautiful beach. Unfortunately some folks leave their trash on the beach or nearby. There have been 5 CITO events here since 2013. I have hosted 4 of them. Come find the cache and if you see a bit of trash while at the beach, give it a new home in one of the many trash bins along the road. Thank you so much. There will definitely be future CITO events at or near this location. Seek a micro cache behind a large sign.

About the title:

Plastic BeachAn artificial island rests on the ocean during a sunset. Apart from the base, it is mostly mushroom-shaped. It contains a few palm trees and small buildings. At the very top is a large white building with many windows. Other objects in and around the island include a ship, a buoy, a lighthouse and a crate. The artist name and album title both appear in the lower left corner of the picture.Studio album by

Plastic Beach is the third studio album by British virtual band Gorillaz. It was released on 3 March 2010 by Parlophone internationally and by Virgin Records in the United States. Conceived from an unfinished project called Carousel, the album was recorded from June 2008 to November 2009, and was produced primarily by group co-creator Damon Albarn. Plastic Beach received mostly positive reviews, and was named one of the year's best albums by several critics. The album debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart, selling approximately 74,432 copies in its first week. It debuted at number two on the US Billboard200 with 112,000 copies sold in its first week; it also reached number one in several other countries.

Damon Albarn got the idea for Plastic Beach while on a beach next to his house: "I was just looking for all the plastic within the sand", he said.
