Caution - take care when crossing the golf course. Be on the lookout for golf balls and please stand still while golfers are playing their shots.
This series when complete will provide a walk of around 11km on footpaths and very quiet roads starting at Effingham Junction (EFF) rail station. It is family friendly and all the caches are intended as quick finds with (hopefully) generous hints.
There is pay and display parking in the Effingham Junction station car park.
There are places along the route for a picnic if the weather is good, although there are few benches and tables, so a picnic rug would be useful.
Walking boots are recommended, particularly following or during wet weather.
The route crosses one busy road (A246) so please take great care with children and pets.
The caches will be published starting September 2019. A combination of the wet winter and Covid has slowed this process, so please bear with us while we complete the series.
Originally intended as a walk from Effingham Junction to Boxhill & Westhumble, but due to difficulties placing caches on the National Trust land, the route will now be heading back to Effingham Junction to make a circular walk.
If travelling to the start point by train, please check the website of South Western Railway or Southern Railway for latest times and fares information.
We hope you have a very enjoyable walk.
This cache is in a 35mm container. Please bring your own pen.
