OAKWOOD GEO-TRAIL
Continue along the footpath behind the houses, you should be heading in a Southerly direction (towards the Eight Acres hotel and A96).

The woods you are walking through is an ancient semi natural Oak-wood on a heathland site with Beech, Silver Birch, Sycamore, Beech, Larch and Scots Pine planted on it. Look out for the many different and colourful birds, Roe deer, and Red Squirrels.

KIDS WHO AM I?
- I have a black thin and short beak, ideal for conifer feeding.
- I eat insects, nuts and seeds.
- I am the smallest in the family.
- Look for me in coniferous woodland.
- I nest in holes in tree trunks (nearer the ground), including nest boxes.
- I have a grey back and a black cap on my head and a white stripe on my neck.
