...but you can’t take the village out of the dog.
Didi was straight outta Bethel when our family adopted her about a year ago. The day we got her I brought her to this park for our first walk together. She behaved wonderfully that day (honeymoon phase), but many times since then I have stood at the edge of these woods with our well mannered Aussie Bernie, trying to decide whether to go in after her, or walk another loop while waiting for her to return. Usually she’s back within a few minutes with a huge puppy-dog grin, but one really bad day she was gone for almost two hours 😡 (we had to stop coming here for a long while after that)!
Eventually we returned... Many training treats later, we have (for the most part) extinguished that behavior; however once in a while Didi still reminds us who and what she is by dashing off into the forest without a backwards glance... like she did on the day I placed this cache.
Bring a dog if you have one, and bring a writing utensil when you visit.
Most importantly, Didi wants you to have fun!!!
