Let the Quirkiness* continue with this Jumpin' January event in Vint Hill.
New location today for the New Year (and may it be a good one): the Farm Station Cafe (details below) in Vint Hill. Counter-service with actual food (not just snacks) for those who might be hungry.
Theme:
Happy New Year, new outlook, fresh start, clean slate, looking forward, 2020 goals, UFCs (unfinished caches), etc. Here's to an excellent 2020 for all. Share stories of your past and current holiday/winter adventures. Have you ever had to literally jump for a cache? As a short-ish cacher, I know I have.
Family, friends, mini-cachers, visitors all welcome. Bring trackables to show off/share/pass along, puzzles you want help with, the usual.
Dogs are unfortunately (AFAIK) not allowed in the cafe.
No obligation to order anything but no outside food/drink, please.

It's a few blocks from the coffee shop where we've met several times. It's near but not in the brewery and near but not in the Cold War Museum (and is NOT the cafe associated with the museum; maybe we'll meet there a different day).
The entrance *looks* to be wheelchair-accessible - it's flat and the door seems wide - and it looks like the tables and chairs are easy enough to get a wheelchair to but I haven't been inside and don't know how the restrooms are. Or the parking, really. So I e-mailed the owner and have set the terrain as a 1.5 for now. Will update this page with the accessible icon *if* I find out it's all easy access.
I do not know of any nearby public transportation. If locals know otherwise, please contact me and I'll add that info to the event.
WINTER WARNING:
Given that it's mid-January, there could end up being horrible (snowy/icy) weather or road conditions the morning of the event. If that's the case, we (CO & hubby) may not be able to make the drive (it's about 35-40 minutes from our house under ideal conditions). So if the road conditions are bad, PLEASE check the cache page to see if the event is cancelled.
* - In 2019, I spelled out "Quirky Quippy Quaffing Quorum" in event titles, adding the Q# for more Qs, and that used up nearly all of the allowed character length. Abbreviating this year to simply "Quirky". And maybe no numbering. We all know in our hearts that it's Q^5 ;)
