This cache has been placed in memory of our dog Wrinkles. Thanks to her endless amount of energy, Wrinkles helped introduce us to the joys of hiking. Graham Cave State Park was one of her favorite places to explore. Farther down the Indian Glade Trail, past the first wooden bridge, past the “pirate’s plank,” and right below the second wooden bridge lies an enchanting sandstone overhang. Below that forms an unusual u-shaped “dog track” made of sand. It was here, that Wrinkles would love to sniff and quench her thirst. I hope you can take the time to hike past this cache and explore for yourself. If you catch it on the right day, you might even get the added bonus of a small water fall. Enjoy and bring a (furry) friend!
Inside the cache is a picture of Wrinkles. I hope you will accept this invitation to leave a picture or share a memory of a furry friend that you’ve lost.
If you have a dog and you are fan of tigers, there is a special gift for the FTF.
The cache is about 515 feet down the trail from the campground parking area. It can also be reached by parking at the Upper Picnic Area, but it will be a farther (but worthwhile) hike to the cache. Permission to place this cache has been granted by the park superintendent.
Congratulations to Control_freeks for the FTF!
