LET’S CELEBRATE
Come join us for a day of inside and outside activities with your geo friends from around the area and beyond. We plan to serve a menu of B-B-Que fare with sides and a celebration dessert. Again, please bring your own drinks and chairs. We would like some willing cachers to help with set up, cover tables, activities and maybe place some new caches in the area. CREATIVE CACHE MAKER CHALLENGE
Calling out to all cachers. The gnomecat caching team is again sponsoring the creative caches competition. Please design and build a fun, unique, creative (you can make any theme you desire) geocache container and bring it to the picnic. Your container will be judged by your fellow cachers.
These must be newly created cache containers that have not been entered in the competition previously.
Since we’re celebrating our 20th year, gnomecats added an additional category for awards. This year the categories will be (mainly organic, mainly inorganic and gadget)
There will be a first, second and third place prize for each catagory. Caches can only be entered in one of the catagories.
1st place prize winners will receive a Garmin Vivoactive 3 GPS enabled watch.
2nd place prize winners will receive a Garmin NUVI 60LMT.
3rd place winners will receive a $25 gas gift card.
If anyone would like to donate your amazing creation they can be added to the picnic raffle after judging. Let us know when you check in. Good luck, and have fun! We are looking forward to seeing your creations!
RAFFLE & T-SHIRTS
The picnic raffle and t-shirt sales are instrumental in helping raise money to cover picnic expenditures. The picnic committee purchases a few items for the raffle, but we also rely on your contributions such as that one-of-a-kind tool or a creative basket etc.. Any item would be most appreciated.
The registration and t-shirt order form has been posted here. All t-shirt orders must be in by July 18th. Be sure to register so we can make plans for food and supplies.
