One of the best aspects about Geocaching is the community. We can meet lots of interesting people on our caching journeys. I was fortunate to have met K-Pom (Kathy) at one of my Geocaching events, and we went on to have lots of adventures together...as did many of you!
Kathy left us (too early) recently, and her family has asked that her Geocaching supplies go to those who will find joy and happiness with them. So, this Community Celebration Event will allow all of you to get together, chat up your fellow cachers, and take home something from Kathy's collection.
There will be lots of containers of various sizes, and ~50 Geocoins, for cachers to peruse and choose. I will also be including some of the caching supplies I have been gathering for a while but not been abe to use. And, as a special prize, there will be a draw for Kathy's Garmin Oregon 600 GPS at the end of this event. You must be present to win in the prize draw.
The event is being held at the Gore Meadows Community Centre (10150 The Gore Road, just north of Castlemore) in Community Room 3 on Boxing Day, Monday December 26th, from 2PM to 4PM. Easy access from Highway 427, Highway 50, or Highway 410. There is plenty of free parking.
