Mark Twain once said, "The report of my death is an exaggeration." Well, lately there have been stories circulating about one of our favorite event spots closing. I'm happy to say that 'the report of its closing is exaggerated'. The manager assures me they are doing well and have no plans to close any time soon.
It's been too long since our community has gathered here to share geo-stories, swap Travel Bugs and path tags, talk about our latest geo-adventures, and occasionally eat cake. This is a Community Event, and according to the dictionary, community means "a group of people having a particular characteristic in common". So, let's get together and share all things related to that common characteristic...GEOCACHING.
There is absolutely no purchase necessary to attend this event. As a matter of fact, you don't even need to go inside the building to attend the event...weather permitting. To help our community to stay safe, we will be meeting outside on the northeast corner of the building. Some of you may not even have been aware that there's a patio area with tables. You can even bring your own chair to sit in, if that makes you more comfortable. In the event that it rains, we will be in the larger side of the north end of the business, not the side that has been reserved for us in the past. Bring your mask, the tables will be spread apart, and everyone is asked to keep "physically distant". I prefer this term to "socially" distant. We're going to be social, just at a safe physical distance from each other. 
Come and sit for a while or just drop by to say "Hi!" and sign the log book. It'll be nice to see some familiar faces at a familiar place.
