If you live in Kansas City you know our passion for sports runs deep. We have hosted many championship teams and are proud to claim countless Hall of Fame caliber players. Most of the well known players have been within the last 40 – 50 years. Think George Brett, Patrick Mahomes, Tom Watson, Lamar Hunt, Bo Jackson, etc. the list could go on and on. However, I would like to dig a little deeper and spotlight some names you might not of heard of or perhaps know but were unaware of their connection to Kansas City.
As far back as 100 years ago KC was producing world class athletes, some of whom are laid to rest in our very city. Please join me at a very special site in KC sports history to reflect on the contributions of these greats. I will have an adventure lab and some geocaches released as part of this event to share some of the interesting locations I’ve uncovered. There will be some giveaways both caching and sport related too. I hope to see you there!
