International Day of Peace – A Community Celebration Event
What better day to celebrate 20+ years of Geocaching and this Community Celebration Event than on International Day of Peace. And since tonight is Autumn Eve, let’s celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of a new season of caching adventures. And, lastly, let’s celebrate geocaching and the experiences and friends we’ve made through our caching adventures.
The Date: September 21, 2022
The Time: 5:30 to 7:30 pm - We will be there from 5:00 until 8:00 pm to accommodate those who can't quite make the 5:30-7:30 time frame.
The Location: Lions Park shelter, 800 Wilson St. SE., Olympia. If the weather is truly horrid, we'll huddle under the shelter. There’s a nice playground for kids, restrooms, lots of picnic tables (in and out of the shelter), and maybe a new cache or two in the area. There’s one Lion-themed mystery in the park if you haven’t completed it yet.
The Food: We’ll provide water and a few snacks, and you’re welcome to bring your own “take-out” dinner. There are a lot of tables throughout the park.
The Activities: We’ll set up for travel bugs to exchange or discover, have extra SWAG on hand for you to take, and hold a raffle drawing.
