On this day in 2012 msmarple1 (aka Pam) made me choose a geocaching name and signed me up on the Geocaching website. We were planning a trip to China in March 2012 and in her words "You may never get into Caching, but if you do, you will kick yourself for not getting some caches in China!" I knew a little bit about Geocaching at the time, in fact I had even walked a couple of trails with her, where she found some caches. She was right...as usual! I did become addicted to this game, and yes, I would have kicked myself if I had not found those caches in China while I was there. Sadly, Pam died of brain cancer in September 2016, but I silently thank her and pay homage to her memory every time I find a cache or walk a trail.
Please come and help me celebrate those 10 years of geocaching! There will be a raffle (at approximately 2:30), hot chocolate, and of course birthday cupcakes! You can just drop by for a few minutes or come and hang out and get caught up with old caching friends, or meet some new ones!
Community Celebration Events - 2020
